Welcome
to Kraelyst's Amazing Travel Scripts. These scripts
currently travel to and from every populated town and
clan on the Elanthian mainland and the islands of Ratha,
Aesry, and M'riss.
Mainland
Script
This script currently
travels to and from every settlement on the Elanthian
mainland. If you find any bugs within the script, please
send me a report using the form on the Contact
Me page.
Instructions for Wizard front end: Option 1.Download
the travel.cmd file and save to your Wizard
scripts folder (usually found at C:\programfiles\simu\wizard\drealms\scripts). Option 2. Cut and paste the text below into
a .cmd file. Please note this file is too large for
Notepad, so try using Wordpad instead.
Instructions for eScape or Stormfront:
Click on Options --> Scripts --> Add/Create. Type in
a name for the script (I suggest "TRAVEL"), then copy
and paste the script below into the text box. Warning:
It does take a few seconds each time to start this script
in eScape, but it's worth it.
News and Notes:
8-19-07:
- Added undergondola shortcuts. Script will check
for enough climbing to take the quick undergondola
route (540 climbing), and if not will automatically
take the gondola but still offer the option to try
the quick or slow undergondola route.
- Now when your destination is "gondola"
the script actually stops at the gondola platform
rather than boarding the gondola.
- Faster travel: there are no more pauses when traveling
between Crossing and the caravansary or between
Shard and the gondola.
- Sped up the "Common Knowledge" on the
some transports because in rare circumstances they
prevented disembarking at the proper time.
- Removed most of the "hide" commands
while waiting on and for transports.
- Fixed spot that caused script to hangup during
dayttime only going from Leth to Ilaya (Thanks Boobuh!)
5-6-07:
- The script is now more "roombrief" friendly:
Fixed Shard and fixed passage around Raven's Point
gate. If any of you "roombrief" folks
find more bugs, please report them!
4-22-07:
- New Destination: Faldesu River
- Fixed bug accidentally created in the 4-2-07
Update which prevented starting in Therenborough
during daytime. (Thanks Ndin and Ramyne)
- Fixed bug that caused StormFront users to hang
up when riding the ferry from Haalikshal Highway
to Ain Ghazal (Thanks Wynder)
- Fixed bug that prevented exiting of the Muspar'i
barge when it docked (Thanks Pheer)
- Added code so people with no escaping skill will
continue moving after the Leth webs fall away.
- Made script more ROOMBRIEF friendly, so if you
like RoomBrief have at it.
- Made script invisible-friendly:
You can now
travel invisible without group checks hanging you
up
You will pause
if trying to get a passport while invisible
You will be
alerted when you fail to invisibly board the Muspar'i
barge
You will be
alerted when you fail to invisibly board the Ain
Ghazal skiffs/ferries
The script acknowledges
when you board the Crossing ferry invisibly (free
ride!)
4-2-07:
- Removed the April Fool's script ending
- Added El'Bain as a major checkpoint - so now starting
there will get you to your destination more quickly
than before (especially if you are going to Lang
or anywhere south of Riverhaven)
- Going from Lang to Riverhaven (or points further
south) will now NOT require you to go first to Therenborough
- you will go straight to the barge if you can't
make the Rossman's shortcut.
4-1-07:
- Streamlined script-starting messaging to eliminate
scroll
- Prioritized starting location check - if you are
at one of the main checkpoints you will start faster
- Added group mechanics to Muspar'i barge because
it breaks up groups
- Added group mechanics to the stream in gryphons
near Raven's Point
- Fixed bug that prevented StormFront users from
starting aboard public transports
- Fixed bug that prevented anyone from starting
outside the Kaerna gates (however, you can no longer
start at the Kaerna intersection)
- Added more common knowledge to long waits (ferries,
gondola, etc)
- Removed some common knowledge from travel portions
to speed up the script
- Fixed bug where if your destination was P5 and
you started the script at the northern gondola dock
you would be taken first to Leth then back to the
gondola.
- Groups are now checked with a single whisper command
instead of 2 commands
- Added modifiers to almost all GO and CLIMB commands,
so "go ledge" is now "go narrow ledge"
because people with similarly named items (like
in this case a "ledger") would get hung
up.
- Increased the detail of match strings for starting
locations so hopefully when you start at an incorrect
location the script won't even try to begin
2-4-07:
- New Destinations! Ilaya Taipa,
Ain Ghazal, Hibarnhvidar, Boar Clan, Raven's Point - New starting locations: Start
on ANY public transport: ferry, barge, gondola,
or skiff
- New starting location: At the
bridge south of the Faldesu
- Significantly adjusted skill-vs-burden checks
for all waterways so everyone should be much more
likely to try to swim if they can.
- If heading to Forfedhdar you will try to obtain
Dokoras in Crossing and Leth Deriel.
- If you don't have enough Lirums for the Lake Gwenalion
barge the script will tell you so and then exit
(rather than doing a neverending loop).
- Perception check going to Rossman's shortcut now
takes head wounds into account. Also added loop
to keep searching for the handholds if you don't
find them at first.

New Destination: Kaerna Village
- Common Knowledge initiative:
I added tidbits of information about each area that
will show up when you pass by, just to help familiarize
people with things that would be common knowledge
if we were really living there (like the name of
nearby woods and rivers and who governs). LOOKING
FOR: Any interesting facts about politics, history,
or geography that may be included in the script
to pass into common knowledge. Please make submissions
using the Contact
